Overlapping Feature

These features use blocks in unique and engaging ways.

The additional rows in the FTS template offer several features designed to highlight special content and images. These include the Fast Facts, Gallery, and Overlapping Feature options. Before these features can be added to a webpage, each must first be created and finalized as a Block. Once that step has been completed, these blocks can be easily placed into the page layout.

Fast Facts - Block

The Fast Facts feature provides an opportunity to highlight specific information with a collage of images. 

  • Key Feature: Checkerboard-like pattern with a required Headline, WYSIWYG row and a corresponding image.
  • Only Available in the Full-Width Row.
  • Must create a Fast Facts - Block before adding it to a page. We recommend a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 for each Fast Facts feature.
  • Background Colors:  Maroon, Ocean, Yellow and Neutral.

To create a Fast Facts Block:

  1. Add Content, then select Blocks from dropdown menu followed by Fast Facts.
  2. Add name using recommended naming conventions (all lowercase, hyphens, no special characters)
  3. Enter in the Headline. 
  4. Select Theme color.
  5. Complete first Fact field with an additional Headline and other wording in the Content WYSIWYG field.
  6. Add photo in the Image Field. Provide Alternative Text.
  7. Repeat additional Facts a needed.
  8. Save block in _blocks folder.

To add a Fast Facts block to a Page:

  1. Choose the Full-Width Row and select Fast Facts - Block from the dropdown menu.
  2. Select the previously created Fast Facts block from the _blocks folder.

Gallery - Block

Photo Gallery: Features thumbnail of each image on the page with a full-size version appearing when the smaller image is clicked. It is available in the Component Row and Full-Width Row.

  • Key Feature: Users can navigate through the photos with arrows that appear on both sides of the screen.
  • Must create a Gallery - Block before adding it to a page. 
  • Optional content for each photo include headlines, captions and a Fancy Link to either an internal page or external link.
  • Each photo must include a brief alternate text that describes the photo.

After you click on an image, arrows appear on both sides of the screen to navigate through the gallery. Some of the optional content to add to a photo gallery include headlines, captions and a Fancy Link to either an internal page or an external link.

To create a Gallery-Block:

  1. Add Content, then select Blocks from dropdown menu, followed by Gallery.
  2. Type in Headline and Body Content if there is content.
  3. Add Images and Alternative Text.
  4. Preview Draft and save block to _blocks folder.

To add Gallery-Block to a Page:

  1. Choose Gallery-Block in either the Component Row or Full-Width Row.
  2. Select the previously created Gallery block from the _blocks folder.

Overlapping Feature - Block

The Overlapping Feature uses a content box and an image as a call-out option.

  • Key Feature: A bold visual element that can be another ideal option for announcements or other important information.
  • Must create an Overlapping Feature - Block before adding it to a page.
  • Feature is only available in the Full-Width Row.
  • Content Box Theme colors include Maroon, Neutral, Green and Ocean.
  • Options include Fancy Links and up to two Buttons.

To create an Overlapping Feature-Block:

  1. Add Content, then select Blocks from dropdown menu, followed by Overlapping Feature-Block.
  2. Select a color theme.
  3. Add Headline.
  4. Add Body Content.
  5. Add Image and Alternative Text.
  6. Add Fancy Links and Button.
  7. Preview Draft and Save.

To add an Overlapping Feature-Block to a Page:

  1. Choose the Full-Width section.
  2. Select the previously created Overlapping Feature-Block from the _blocks folder.
